Hello All, Is is possible to design a map, that is a campaign, like in the single player mode, but in multi player! Something more interesting than CTF ... Something Realistic, that private have only Rifle with limited amo, and Captain have SMG! Anyway, a campaign like, a squad of 10 soldiers, must get, to Berlin to kill a Nazi commander! With a maximum of 5 death per palyer! It could be against CPU or other players! When a player dies 5 times he goes Spec! Then if the whole team dies, the other one win, of if the team accomplish the mission they win! Against other players it could be real nice, really more fun than in Single! I know I ask A lot, but, if it is possible, it could be nice! And it would be different than what we play!
Admiral mod has mission packs for some of the stock maps. Unfortunatly, the elders of UAN have deemed AM unacceptable, and are unwilling to try the latest updated version. Even though there was nothing wrong with the prerelease we tried 4-5 months ago.
I don't mind trying it - it would just mean giving up WMDs - which is fine by me (at least I think AM lacks them). By backup, are we talking about "backup.uanconnect.com"?
Ok, for all those interested: Test Server up with the latest Admiral MOD: 72.232.220.11:28960 (the Tourney Server) It is currently running only stock maps in rotation with gametype "Capture the Beer" (never seen this yet) Feel free to jump on, caress it, abuse it, and make it yours...then post any suggestions. I altered the configs on it a bit, but I'm sure more can be made. Post any troubles here or just PM/IM me.
does that set the speed the player walks? cus on lanparties i always walk so terribly slow.. and i would love to set it abit quicker.. is that the command line to do it?
It is the cvar in the config file that you can set, yes. The only thing I don't like about the mod so far is the voting. As far as I can tell, the AM voting only permits stock maps and not custom (at the moment). I have tested some of the gametypes and they are fun, but it still needs a wee bit of tweaking. Otherwise, it looks pretty good.
