PB Init Failure

as soon as i connect to the server (cod2.uanconnect.com) after playing for about 2 minutes i get kicked cus of the following reason:
PB Init Failure

what should i do? i bet its been asked before but im way to lazy to search around for it

PB Init error

If you are being kicked from the servers with a PB Init error, try this first:

Once on the server bring down the console with the "~" (tilde) key and type the following:

/pb_security 0 (press enter)
/pb_system 0 (press enter)

To update Punkbuster manually, http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=updatepb.php and download the file pbweb.exe and put it into your Call of Dutypb folder and run it.

Another way to fix it is to Go http://www.evenbalance.com/

(1)From the "Latest PB versions" select Call of Duty.

(2)Find the line saying "Software Updates" and click the Download link

(3)Ignore the PBWEB is the easiest.....

(4)Then look below that for the section "Punkbuster security files", right click on the link "For Players" Filename: pbsec.htm and "save target as" then navigate to your CoDpb folder and save it. (it will overwrite the current file)

5)Then go below that to the "Player Client Files" and right click on the 2 files (PB Client v1.172 for Win32 Filename: wc001172.htm and PB ClientA v1347 for Win32 Filename: wa001347.htm) at the time of writing.

6)Right click on the files one at a time then select "Save target As" and point them at the Call of Dutypbhtm folder.

The next time you start your game, your PunkBuster will have the latest security information necessary to accept auto-updates from PB Servers.

Im not sure when they would start up out your way but here its good to go the same week school starts.....and we'll still be doing playoffs and tourneys come May/June '07

this year is going to be crazy with one playing on 2 teams and the 6 year old starting house league Oct 1

...at least my daughter isnt playing (yet anyway)
