kicked via pb (cvar cl_maxpackets..) error..

to day i was kicked by PB and got this error :

i update my pb but i still get it :? any idea

eh yeah I posted this in a topic I started about some other problem but it seems everyone gets kicked by pb.

well. this's a screen for my PB setup please take a look and tell if you have the same version

yup same version. another guy just posted he got kicked, anyway punkbuster emptied the whole server...

damn i didnt see this thread... i made one too in the tech section sos...

now im getting this:

to manually update your PB files.

and i did that but still getting the same thing

you said you have 4 installs, makes sure you update the one you play on our server with

i did, but they are all copied tho, not installed, would that be the problem?

it's only going to update the installed version. I think copying the pb folder from the updated one to each install should do it.

could you share your pb folder? rar it and upload it somewhere? cus i dont have any installed version of cod2, all copied folders, maybe it will work if i copy your working pb folder into mine? at least its worth to give it a try :?

There was a Pb client update recently and sometimes the clients don't update automatically when connecting for whatever reason.

i already installed that, didnt work, when i connect to the server and choose my team and weapons, after about 0.5 second i get kicked i can just turn around 45 degrees and im kicked

You will have to use Pbsetup to locate EACH location of your multiple installs. Merely copying the folders will not suffice. If that does not work and you want to make absoulte sure that the game runs smoothly, reinstall it and then update Pb and try reconnecting.

As long as you are getting kicked and told to update, you are getting kicked exactly for that reason.

i tried that already, but ill go with butzie's suggestion.. ill go fucking download the game
