what's the deal with this guys? i know Bootsy must have been livid last night after getting permabanned a dozen times or more. this also occured to a couple of OLW players who were trying to get on. also, the problem with the LOTR maps not auto downloading for some.
The global ban is actually a evenbalance GUID ban and not one in our configs. Unlike our cracked COD2 server, UO with Pb assigns each player a GUID based on the cd-key. COD2 uses GUID 0 which causes no problems that we know of yet. The only fix we have found was to have all the affected users change their CD key. However, that being the case, many of us are using a coduo download and using the same exact banned cd-key from the nfo file. Thus, you get booted no matter what we do. Since I know of no way around this at the moment, I have since disabled Pb, so you should be able to join without a hitch. Unless, you cannot download maps. This either because the map is not on the redirect server or you do not have 'Allow Downloading' enabled in your multiplayer options. One thing that I urge everyone to download is the coduo official map pack which you can get in a lot of places, but here is a download link: CODUO Official Map Pack If you have any more issues, report them here until we can get a 'Call of Duty: United Offensive" category added to the main forum page. great work, I personally used a universal COD keygen for my install and it obviously worked no problem. it is available from me should anyone need it!
