is anyone willing to go legit, yes i know private server is free, but the real wow is so much better, i mean i would hate to put alot of time into leveling on this private server only for it to be gone along with all of our time and effort. right now you can go to

    https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/trial/10dayfreetrial.htm

and sign up for ten days no credit card needed and also download the game. i think it would bve cool to get on legit and start our own up all night guild we already have a website and vent.

No offense erik but most of us have alright put a few hours atleast into this server and seperating everyone out seems a bit pointless + what do you mean to have it all gone all of a sudden? I think getting banned for using illegal 3rd party programs is alot more risky then playing on a private server. I guess if anyone is up for it they should but it still wouldnt really have a positive effect on the little wow community we got going here.

that meaing you are on a private server where no one is ever on.. one day your going to log on to your precious private server and its not going to be there, as the real wow servers will always be there and if you cannot afford 15 bucks a month then i feel sorry for the profession you have chosen.

    there is a difference between affording $15 a month...and affording $15/month for a game.

Ok erik the server isnt just going to dissapear and even if it was decided to shut the damn thing down they would tell me since i know them. Also you act like the server is empty when your on but have you ever noticed the 20 people in our guild? thats jsut a few people i know on the server let alone everyone else. Hell its nothing like the millions on normal wow but i find that a bit of a good thing. You also bring up affording 15$ a month and like elmo said big difference between 15$ and putting it into games. If i can play for free liek i have been on a fun server with everyone else i dont see where the problem is and splitting up the group we have to get some people to pay and get addicted psosibly is pointless. Really if people wanan go then what the fuck ever but i dont see why you would bother trying to bring people with you if you want to go back to real wow.

I for one would also like to play legit and not have to rely on botting and 3rd party programs to do a job for me. I also highly doubt people will want to restart their characters and invest time + real world money just to start over again.

I've read a lot of "horror stories" about how WoW takes up all your time and you basically need to play forever to get anywhere.

I even read a forum somewhere that insisted the "game doesn't start until level 60"

What are your guy' thoughts on that? I like playing a game, beating it, and then enjoying any multi player facets for as long as it's fun.

Getting really involved in a game is also pretty fun, but only up to a point. final Fantasy was "involved" but could be fully played out in under 40 hours.

MMORPGs are very bad for socially maladjusted individuals. They use the game as a means to create someone who they want to be but can't be in their normal lives. The games are designed to take forever and lure people into playing as much as possible. I've seen groups of friends just descend into not going out or doing anything anymore because they are so into games like this. To me it depends on what you want to get out of it. If you want to feel like you are powerful and the best at this game, it will consume you. If you just want to dick around, then by all means do it up, but on that front, why pay for it if you don't have to? Tread carefully...

Not really taking personal just trying to disproove some of the things you said but who cares. The addictive thing being taken away is a definate + and thats why i stopped paying for mmorpgs since i had a problem with them a few years back with taking up way to much of my time. Hell i bet the legit would be funner but what the hey lets just play and if you wanna go legit have fun.

takes too much of the same repetitive actions to get anywhere.

I think it is VERY fun to play scrims in tho. Gives you that whole structured feeling.
