Can't Connect to UAN...HELP

1.3 includes the intel patch

from the official patch readme:

This is namely for Hollowpoint's Mrs. and Sharkie, but can be applied to anyone else who might be experiencing the same issue.

I have altered the timeout values for the server (i.e. extended them). I noticed that you two simply left a timed out stamp in the logs and nothing else - no Pb kick, nothing. Now, I have lessened the restrictions, so it will be interesting to see if this works.

Btw, just for grins, I installed COD2 on my wife's crappy laptop and connected fine to the main server through a likewise crappy hotel wireless connection. Just FYI.

If you have noticed any changes, please post back.

Butzie, i dont think its a firewall issue at the hotel because it first began last saturday and I was on my laptop at my parents house. remember the last tourney I was complaining of bad lag? well because of that I quit, the next morning i had this current problem, so it didnt begin at the hotel and i also tried to connect on the laptop at home same thing, so thats 3 different locations.

Ok well i guess this is what I get for speaking to soon!

I got on, the lag was so terrible I couldnt stay alive, when the next map came up which was chelm poland, the whole game froze and i got cod2 program not responding. I got it to close and tryed to get back in a few times and samething cod2 program not responding.
I got so excited when I could actually get on, this just sucks, i just want to play the stupid game. <_<

Now back to the orginal of "notice: server disconnected"

Do you have a static or a dynamic IP ?
'cause sometime i get the same problem like you "disconnected from the server after loading" or just a black screen and then nothing happens .all those issues are caused by the damn IP that i get from my telecom supplier. so I have to change the IP address many time till that i can join
let me take a example, this morning i tried to join, and i got 9999 in all UAN servers



and immediately when i changed it, that's the result :

No i have never shown 9999 for the server pings, they are usually around 50 for me.

I agree with you, sometimes i can get on a stock map, but even then the lag is SO bad its not even worth it. none of this makes any sense, my system has not changed at all, I used to be able to play fine, no troubles getting on or playing, no problems with lag. then one day bam!!!!!

I was just saying that you have a high ping, and maybe that could be part of the problem with connecting. But I have no clue, just throwin it out that.

She usually plays with a ping around ( 56-60 ) :huh:

i was able to get on for the tourney last night and this morning, no probs with lag or anything. SO i dont know what happened but i hope things continue this was!!
