The ign guys are saying it'll be out on PC.... what do you think? http://pc.ign.com/articles/784/784730p1.html
yup your rite it is going to be built for the pc... but they are not using the quake game system for it... so i dont think its going to be as good as the gameplay of cod2... but i hope im wrong... infinite ward did a good job of cod2 ... fingers crossed they love the game and make it better
thats not your site is it? edit: lol, i just realised how fuckin huge my sig is i designed it on my 20" widescreen at 1650x1050, now i see it on my 17" at 1280x1024 and it takes up like 1/4 of the screen
i just hope they actually finish making the game before releasing it.... so the same shit dosent happen like it did with cod2 longest beta test ever.... too bad the sequel is going to be over
activision licensed the unreal 3 engine but didnt announce which game it would be used on they announced on their forums that the cod4 engine was developed "from the ground up" in house (they also deleted that post) id say that given the short amount of time since they announced their license of the unreal3 engine and the expected release date, cod4 wont be using the "modified" unreal3 engine, but will probably use a further hacked quake3/4 engine basically this means that cod4 is going to have the same fucking bugs and limitations of the previous versions others are also speculating that cod4 is going to be "designed for vista" in a further effort to force people to upgrade to vista and get a dx10 video card
yeah, i used to hate EA more than anything, but now im starting to lean more toward activision funny thing is that they will probably blame poor development on budget constraints and attribute that to losses caused by piracy most pirates of games will tell you that if it is worth buying they will purchase it what does that say about cod2?
I tend to agree here. I bought the whole Dawn of War series because it is, in my opinion, money well spent. I've also gone the other route on several, less worthy, games. Movies and music is tough, some music is hard to find so your hand is forced. Movies I generally will buy, but TV series (The Simpsons and Sopranos come to mind) I won't. Complete seasons @ $40-80 and with the Simpsons there's what, 17 seasons?!? Fuck that.
FYI - Thanks FUzion it's a fake ... here's the real info from activision - nothing! http://www.activision.com/en_US/brand/0102...341384704a.html
I will buy it if it is on PC, just like I did BF2. I just hope that it is somewhat similar to COD:UO in gameplay (i.e., Vehicles). It would be cool if it is a hybrib between COD:UO and BF2. We should be able to crack it, and host a server...
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/artic...44&site=pcz "Yes, this is the Call Of Duty we know and love, but it's much faster, with more realistic animation and liquid-smooth visuals whizzing past at a solid 60-frames-per-second." Were Infinity Ward aware that PC gamers were annoyed when Call Of Duty 3 didn't make it to PC? "We know people were aggrieved, but COD3 wasn't made by us - it was a console developer who made a console game. COD4 is being released two years from the finish of COD2, as COD2 was two years from COD. If a game comes out every year, it isn't going to be as amazing." "On to another Middle Eastern level, and this time you and the Force Recon squad have to rescue an M1A1 Abrams tank and work alongside it through the tight streets. The action gets more chaotic when the tank rolls over a car, crushing it in real-time, and you enter an area teeming with Al-Asad's soldiers, armed to the teeth with automatic weapons, grenades and RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades, not copies of Diablo)." "You can now pick up grenades that have been thrown at you and chuck them back as well, with access to tear gas and flashbangs as well as smoke and frag grenades. The ballistics and impact of every weapon have been accurately modelled too, allowing you to use, say, a heavy machine gun to shoot through walls and ceilings to kill bad guys." "Also, to aid your immersion, Infinity Ward have gone further by reducing the amount of HUD information than in other Call Of Duty games - they've got rid of the mini-map in single-player, and information on weapon choice pops up then fades away quickly" "The pacing will also be much more varied than Call Of Duty 2, where the action was ramped up to 11 for most of the levels. "You'll be in Russia doing some spy-type stuff in camouflage suits, then you'll head to the Middle East with squad warfare supported by helicopters, then become a gunner on an attack helicopter, then back to Russia protecting a defector from Zakhaev. COD4 even has back-story missions where you go back 15 years in time for a Highlander-style flashback." "Don't miss the latest issue 182 of PC Zone out this Thursday 24th May, with more game info and incredible exclusive screenshots from Call Of Duty 4! "
