Looks like we have been checked out and ditched! Only one real issue can cause this. It seems like we do not have enough Admins to Moderate the server (Banning and Kicking of Hacking script kiddies). Hence causing all of the legit players to leave. I for one have enjoyed the few hours that I have played on our new server. I like the setup and it is condusive to having fun and obtaining ranked points and stats. But to make this server work, it has to be moderated. I don't know what exactly has been put in place to make this new server run, but I think we should get a team behind this thing and get it off the ground. Butzie and Pete have dona great job so far, but I think we should get a few dedicated guys (or girls, sorry Mrs. H and Kr0me) together who will promise to be on and take the rudder. I for one, know how to admin through BF2cc, and would be willing to help out in anyway I can. Just let me know. And for all of those who have this game and don't have it installed...get it on them HDs, and get on the server. Me and my Shock paddles will be waiting...
the server is well moderated by at least 10 people.. myself and muddr do the most bf2cc moderating.. the reason its empty is because there was 10 people on and multiple glitches were happening.. we restarted the server and only 7 people joined.. we needed 8 to start.. the server wont get full by itself, matter-a-fact i try to keep myself on the server as much of the day as i can so others will join to get it populated we must all get on at the same time.. really simple actually.. now when i get called a macro on our server, i wont tolerate it.. almost instant kick.. legit players also dont leave because of hackers/macroers because there arent any on our server.. if we see one it is dealt with immediately.. straight up, there is always an admin watching the server and it is always being moderated admins are as follows: Pete Chris (Iwazinyomom69) mrsgetuintheback Bikemechanic123 Cletus earthmuver TruckMuddr butzie
One of my buddies was on the other night and he said that a Hacker was on for like 45 mins. I can see that this would cause serious players to leave...I know I would.
any and all suspicious guys are watched.. we have kicked a few already for macroing and no others have been accused.. i look on bf2cc quite often and i dont ever see anyone accusing anyone and if they do it is dealt with as i said, it died out and wont start up unless we get everyone in there
gee, following our players logic, we should just give up gaming completely seeing as how every game is going to have a sploit maybe we should just turn off our computers and use them as flower pots for the same reason...
ok now i gonna say this i will sound as a retard i guess.. but is there a way to follow players while you are spectating and make a demo, and how can i see if they are hackers or something.. Because a few days ago, there where a lot of players on the server who asked me if i was a admin and if i couldt kick that person (his name was something like lilililil). So i said that i wasnt a admin.. so they asked my if i could contact an admin to let him kicked. But all the guys who i thought that could be an admin where AFK so i couldnt do anything than saying that they should visit the forums and say it over there..
I think this is what you’re looking for shark. If you’re ever having problems on the server let me know I’m on all the time. Also to go with what Pete said there are hacks that are impervious to PB shots and streaming pb. Most of the hackers will stay away once we are streaming PB because they want to use their hacks. This one hack in particular will automatically turn off when PB shots are being taken and when PB is streamed. If we start to stream PB then we won’t have to worry about hacks at all. As far as macros go their virtually undetectable unless you know exactly which macro is being used. Keep in mind that macros are still illegal and that around 50%of the BF2 players that play Infantry will use macros. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with them and know how they work. How does a macro Work in BF2? I've used them in games like WOW, but that is not a FPS. What is the advantage to having Keybound automated Keypresses? Other than to reload, change guns and maybe revive a dude automatically?
the most common i know of is where it just clicks extremely fast when shooting a tv so you just move the mouse instead of click
