http://www.alienware.com/product_pages/des...ll_default.aspx Build me the best gaming rig and tell me why .... please.
either one of the ALX are the best (because it says so... duh) but you are retarded if you dont build your own box its so easy a caveman could do it i just saved abunch of money on my car insurance by switching to newegg well, you get the picture...
Like you even have to ask. Core 2 Duo smacks the shit out of anything that AMD has to offer. Finally..after quite a long while of playing catch up though....AMD has indeed released a processor that beats out one of intels.....AMD's top of the line.....barely inches out Intel's 200$ Core 2. ... Keep up the good work AMD! LOLZ There is a reason that they are seeking 1.8 Billion Dollars from their shareholders, and considdering closing their fabrication plants and letting third party groups handle the manufacturing of their proicessors...that reason is that AMD no longer has any chance in hell to get back on top. So.. Definately Intel. As any and all Current and Future High Performance parts arebeing geared towards their chipsets and processors. Also..Alienware? Come on..dont shop with dell... google " Performance pc's " and a kickass shop comes up with tons of win. Intel X6800 + 4GB Dominator 8800 + 2x ATi HD 2900 XT's + PC Power & Cooling 1KW + CoolIT Eliminator + ASUS Boards + Lian Li Cases = Win Everything else = Fail Kzzu has Spoken...................
if you spend over 3000 (2000 in my case) on any computer you are just begging for buyers remorse your performance increase on the top end parts versus their standard counterparts is negligible considering the massive price increase you dont need watercooling, or quad core, or a superclocked video card (or sli for that matter) to get massive fps on current games but that doesnt mean you should settle for crap either dont buy anything less than an e6350 with a $300+ ATI or NV card the amd 6000 is cheap as fuck and your ram options are better with it get a decent motherboard and ram and you're all set when the "next gen" software becomes mainstream, your $6000-10000 Alienware or Falcon won't meet the requirements much less the recommended specs. Top end DX10 cards of today are the bottom of the barrel tomorrow... you are better off sinking that extra $3-4k into your car or an IRA or something that is actually gonna last more than 2-3 years
As mentioned above, the Intel Core 2 Duo is as of right now, the bad ass of CPUs. Thats what all the high end folks are using. I just got an Athlon 64X2 3800, and it kicks my old 3200 64s ass all over the place, but I tend to think the MB with AM2 socket, DDR2 ram, and the memory controller built into the CPU has alot to do with it also. My COD2 scores have greatly improved after my upgrade even when still using a 6600GT 128.
You go with AMD you are a fool at this point. Its like buying a car that has 800k miles and water in the block for 10k. Just not worth it
Intel may be ahead with more powerful cpu's but if your looking for a cheaper alternative for a still pretty decent processor then there is nothing wrong with the lesser AMD ones. It's really all about if you want to spend 1000 2000 or 3000. I personally think the midrange e6600 is the best as it is still a good price as well as an extremely good cpu without being 1k+.
AMD ftw... personally my system kicks pretty good ass with my shit.. amd brotha--no problems yet.. oh did i mention my computer cost me 300 bucks then the ram and videocard upgrade? under 800 and i can play most games out today for a computer thats 5 years old
The difference though is what your looking for. Some people want to do more than just play the games they want to have their games look beautiul and run and 20000 fps. Do you want a cheap but get by computer or one that will look and run great now and end up doing what the mediocre one did 3 years after.
but another difference is that you cant physically tell the difference once you get past like 150 fps.. and even so if your connection is crappy what good is 150+ fps if you are skipping around? intel for power.. amd for lasting power as fuzion said, build your own.. the only reason i didnt mine is because i didnt when i bought it, and dont have enough room to build now.. anal-retentive monkey luber.
Very interesting this issue, Vanubial and Cletus, can you tell me what hardware specifications have you? Processador: MainBoard: Main Memory: Video Card: HardDrive:
EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDNT ASK... Opteron 148 OC 2.75 Asus A8N-sli Premium 1024MB DDR 550 1:1 w/cpu Patriot (this ram is rare, sells used at retail price still on ebay) ATI X1950Pro 2x 160GB SATA fw to SATA2. NCQ, Loud and fast... Go Hitachi! Pentium D 3.4 OC N/A Gigabyte Trash-9000 series (aka, dont know, dont care) 1024MB DDR2 675 Corsair XMS2 Blah Blah Blah RAM NV 7800GTX 2x 320GB SATA2 WD? (im not really sure) lol, i game on server hardware and my server runs consumer bullshit.... also, RAID is why I am always in the map with the flag capped before you are finished loading... any spelling or typos are due to my "super sweet illuminated piece of fucking shit do not every buy illuminix its basically a laptop keyboard but smaller" keyboard
also, i just spliced and soldered my razor uxb cable razor makes a pretty inferior product imo better functions but that doesnt mean shit if you have to fix the fucking cable everytime you slam the mouse when butzie bashes you... my g5 is rock solid though oh yeah, listen to the guy who can splice and solder microscopic wires inside ultra thin usb cables...
