Vista < XP

Unless someone can tell me why not, I'm going to go and buy a legit operating system this afternoon. Here's the one I'm going WITH instead of using Vista.

BTW what's the difference between an OEM and a Retail version? - edit: I searched and found that the main difference is a manual.

i have XP Pro.... wife has XP Home.... eather way i think you will be happy..... but if you plan on doing any power computing i would say get Pro...

After this whole fiasco, all I want to do is game ... is pro better for that then home?

i personaly think it is .... for some reason it seems like my stuff loads faster than hers and i have more system and admin tools than she does....

Does this quote mean that XP Home would not run my Intel Core 2 Duo chip?

dual processors and dual core are 2 different things

most of the color servers I manage run dual(2) Xeon processors so I could not use Home if I wanted to
on those setups
