Ok guys help me out here, I want to get the best computer i can get with out spending more than 2500.00 dlls So give me ideas on every kind of heardware I need , I wanna start from scratch, And install only the best shit.
That sir, is a monster computer budget. You could get basically high end everything... I'd get this processor ($319.99), This motherboard, this graphics card($299), this memory ($200), this HD for storage ($379.99), this HD for Games ($363.49), this monster power supply ($299), and this combination Blueray/Dvd/CD reading/writing/awesome drive ($459.99). Total $2321.46 + motherboard. Totally outrageous system, upgradable to the newer 45nm quads and more ddr3 ram, best graphics card available, fast hd for games and huge one for storage, monster power supply for SLI upgrade if you want. Basically I'd hate you passionately if you had this, it's bleeding edge and can upgrade later when and if they ever make games good enough for it.
yer a bitch. pay my mortgage instead. you'd feel better... id have sex with you too... butzie would videotape it.
that processor? I would get a quadcore if I had a budget like that anyway krome's offer must be tempting too
i didn't think 2500 pesos could even get you a blowjob from a toothless donkey with AIDS. apparently the american dollar has gone WAY down, like kr0me's mom, on me.
Badass that computer blows chunks for the price, For one the video card is a piece of shit and the processor is way overpriced considering there is more powerful for cheaper as well as the fact you dont need a power supply like that even for hardcore gaming. How about this? Cheaper and more than enough of whats need. Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131221 Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115028 Video Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814127288 Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817371010 Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822148278 Memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820227091 All that power for only... $1,859.94. All you need is a case and the simple parts after that. That system will easily destroy the one i payed about 1800 for and its more than enough power for anything you could do right now while still being affordable under $2000.00
Ill give ya a few things on the parts but its not worth getting the gts level 8800's anymore and the 6850 is a better invesment imo over the 6600 quad. Its worth looking around alot Mero because everywhere will have different prices and theres somethings you may want to sacrifice for others unless you want to go the full 9 yards in price.
1: go download 3dmark06 (or run it if you already have it installed) 2: when you get the results online, you can see what the top scoring computer has in it. 3:get that system 4: ??? 5: profit
Because under 2 games right now even utilize the 4 cores anyways? im not saying quad is a bad thing but the 6850 would perform better on anything up to now whats coming out now and possibly on a few things in the next while to come. Either will be more than enough for anything we would be doing and i think fuzion has the best idea out of any of us.
Im aware that 98% of games right now are not programmed to function on 4 cored processors at all even if you allocate core usage outside of them. Just because its got 4 doesnt mean things automatically take advantage of it when they were designed under a 1-2 core premise. Games and programs alike run way better on a faster dual core than a slower quad core. It just isnt practical to loose that much performance for the extra cores that wont even be used and if they are performance gain would be nill with the 6600 to 6850.
Question: Can I upgrade my current PC's Ram I currently have 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4DIMMs And I want to install OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000
Well, scrap that chip then and get the QX9650 45nm chip (that the motherboard I suggested can support) that comes out on Nov 12th. It's a quad core with 12MB of L2 cache, a 1333MHz front side bus, and a bad attitude. It's true most of the stuff I recommended is unnecessary overkill, but hey, you have the money so why not. If anything get a more reasonable power supply and don't splurge on the blue ray writing drive, get a midrange graphics card and wait for the next gen ones to come out or use your current one. That motherboard with this chip, the ddr3 ram, and that 15000rpm hd will be better than what passes for marital relations in the Butzie household.... :bag:
