Thought this would be a good place to collaberate systems and see what is the bare minimum for running the COD4 Demo. List Specs on your rig like this (Using mine for example purposes): 1. CPU - Core 2 Duo 3.0 w/ Overclock 2. 2 GBs PC2 6400 3. 2 x 7950 w/512 MBs each in SLI Now enter COD4 Demo and type in this command into the Console (Console can be turned on in the Options of the game. Press the ( ~ ) key to access the console): /cg_drawfps 1 This will enable the Frames Per Second (FPS) so you can see what you are getting. Any thing over 30 consistently is good, as your eye cannot notice anything higher. Anything lower then that and you will want to lower your Video options. Let us know how it goes. Here is a Screenshoot of my FPS with the Video Options maxed out:
is there a line I can place on the target line of my desktop icon to always turn on fps? Some thing like: "+seta cg_drawfps 1" ???
can force what your max is.. but never your minimum.. you cant just brute force your way into getting whatever number you want

i'm good with everything but the video card..... i guess mine sucks major ass.... i thought it was desent when i got the computer.... but now i guess not...LOL plans are to get a better one soon tho

if you dont know for sure your video card: start->run->dxdiag then it should say somewhere up top what video card you have.. (or check in display) with an 8300 you should be perfect..? are you able to run the demo?

pfft you should run it just fine i have about the same specs as you and im running all settings low except the textures (they are on extra high).. btw there are more graphic settings than cod2.. not just textures.. you have lights, models..ect
