Second CoD Patch

I'm not sure the entire ramifications but they released a second patch.

Do you keep your ranks when you patch your game?

Your supposed too ... not sure about cracked versions though.

Make sure you have your CD Key written down somewhere ... and back up your entire players folder.

hmmm I still use a "back up" because I canceled my order.... no money and school is expensive :death:

i just installed the patch and tried to connect thru cod4.uanconnect.com and i was informed i had been temporarily banned off the server..!!!! can someone help me out ? dont know if its patch related or not but i would like to get back to playin asap ..thanx

thing is, is that i never even had any lean glitch occur (as in--me seeing it).. i updated and still dont notice a thing

the IW released patch is indeed bugged.. doesn't fully update to 1.2.. there has been a user-released (from a trusted user within IW) version which you can locate here http://www.10-78.com/Upload/COD4%201.2%20Patch.exe or you can get it here COD4 Patch 1.2

if your current version says 1.1 or lower and you want to update, use the above

butzie.. i realize that, but have never got shot because of that reason.. there has been no occurances that i had any suspicion of the glitch..

I never got shot in such a way either. Im not patching untill they find something big or when I have too.

Kind of my thoughts too ... I already backup my ranks and don't care about glitch campers. We're usually running around so much it hardly matters. I think this becomes an issue in S&D camp-fests.

Yea Im usually running and shooting too, so I dont really care. Besides I hate s&d

Played a game of S&D last night. It was a nice change of pace. Not my usual cup of tea but it was alright.
