banned?

Hi guys

Ive been playing on your CoD4 servers for a little while now, and when I went to log in tonight, I got a PB message saying I was banned? Please tell me this is a mistake

indeed a mistake.. not by us tho

solution:
find a cod4 keygen and change your key..
what has happened is PB globally banned some of the "install-with-this-key" key

does changin ur cdkey reset your stats?
coz ive just tried to play and ive been globaly banned!
im at level 41 and if i av 2 start from scratch id be PULVERISED
what chance does a level 1 player have? =0

for the ppul that have no choice but change their cdkey.
your stats do get reset !.
now thanks to punkbuster im at level 1 and b4 reset was at 41
now i wish i had bought the game.!!!!
and YES im so PISSED OFF.!!!!!

Mmm. yeah well thanx !!!!! now i dont even want to start cod4 from the beginning with my peashooter ,,the only way id be able to kill ppul is by them laughin at me runnin 2wards them very slowly wiv a massive chunk of metal that needs to be 10ft away 2 do any damage.and id spend half the game reloadin.

If it helps more peeps play and lowers lag then I'm for it ... but I see your concern as well...

Or is there a setting we can change on PB that alters what it checks? Say no cD keys?

are you sure? cuz I saw that guid ban message an awful lot of times yesterday on the server

when i changed my key it said my name was corrupt so it was resetting my stats,it did it automatically ....well ill soon be up to your level 55,,only 54 to go !!!!!!!....oh bollox

i cant believe ppul r talkin bout pb bein turned off coz thats just damn rite STUPID...
so what me and 10,000 others have to start over,thats my fault for bein a cheapskate and downloadin instead of buyin
now i wish i wouldve bought it and probably will,and the pbs restrictions r only gonna get worse but i welcome all restrictions to keep the cheatin lowlifes off our servers....AMEN

i certainly did.twice 2 be certain in 2 diffrent places just incase 1 fckd up ,it didnt even come up to the profile page ,it hit me wiv the reset straightaway wen i strted the game,,
nobody ad better cum up wiv any great solutions coz that will depress me even more!!!

if you notice freddy, the GUID's were all the same (it shows the guid number i believe)

in otherwords PB was smart and banned the major 3 "install with this key" keys.. that basically banned the majority of people..

just change your key if you do get banned, start over if need be.. but once you change it once, i dont see you ever getting banned again via PB unless your a hacker

Or until IW downloads the keygen and bans all the keys within.... :blink:

afaik this isnt the standard "all keys end with RLD" keygen
so thats pretty unlikely
