It as good to see a few people on cod2 server. I hope we can have more players there cuz although cod4 is great, cod2 has flag, gives you lots of bullets, doesnt have stupid helicopters, martyrdom and bullets thru the walll. Its not a crysis wannabe and I think it is where many of us learnt how to play shooter games. So anyways, I hope all the regulars show up this WE on the cod2 server or I may have to go to other clans, insult them and challenge them to come and play. By the way, thank to the admins for fixing the cod2 server.

Thanks to Butzie for restarting the server and fixing the GUID scan that was keeping the server dead for over a week. Now to start getting people on....
i only went and uninstalled the bloody game cause i thought servers were shut for good suppose it forced me to play cod4
i agree totally... i am usually online 1-3 times a day looking for people playing uan.. and recently 90% of the time no one is online.. everyone is on cod4 now(which is great because we will get more exposure) but im sure there are some people who cant afford/run cod4 on their comp, plus cod2 has been a timeless game for me(and im sure every member here has a great affinity towards cod2) i know im a recent UAN-member...(new member...long time player) ive been here for a LOOONG time, and i didnt see cod1's players drop as much as cod4.. it took about a year to get most of the people out of cod1 and cod uo servers (to playing cod2).. but for cod4 it seems like it took 48 hours. ^maybe that sentence doesnt make much sense.. but i think u get the point...cod2 is not dead, long live the einfeild oh btw i was playing cod4 on xb360 recently and i loved the G3 with the double shot.. its the closest thing i can find to a non-scoped rifle.. any suggestions??? -rant -violence
i did say 360..but.. its not mine.. i would never buy one... but playing at my freinds house gave me a liking to the g3..
hey 360's aint all that bad i got a 360 and its dam good,also wii ps2 and pc and they all do there purpose. and i agree gewt cod2 back on track
That's becuase CoD4 is a good game right out of the box. CoD4 sucked out of the box and HAD to be modded to be any fun.
I dont want to be misunderstud , All im saying is the more members that go to 360 the more members we loose. I like consoles aswell, my favorite is Nintendo and I don't mean Wii.
as i have been saying, ALL GAMES DIE EVENTUALLY... doesnt matter which game, cuz they have all died with time and newer games.. and dont pull that bullshit that you were sayin "oh well super mario bros (original) and space invaders are even more popular than ever".. good games.. but dead just a matter of time before cod2 is perma-dead.. as with UO now it took so little time because of what COD4 has to offer! UO had vehicles, satchels, SO MUCH MORE! cod2 didnt have any of it so people kept playin UO for a while after cod2 came out.. cod4 came out.. and with so many people just bored of cod2.. cod4 has so much more to offer than cod2.. almost like UO without the vehicles.. hell, i praise it because it brought some of our oldest members back into gaming! /repeated rant (goin on my 3rd time eh?)
unless there is magic after level 25 with COD4, then I can get bored with that as well. It's a great game but so are alot of FPS. I came here right after the switch from UO to COD2 was made so I've only played UO casually, and quite frankly I prefer COD2. Cod2 gave me this brotherhood that is UAN and blessed me with some awesome, kick ass friends. The kind that spent hours upon hours playing the game. We've played through unemployment, divorce, death and countless other life problems. COD2 will never die for me for that simple reason. UAN is not a clan, but a group of friends with nothing but respect and love for each other. I don't care what title some people are playing and some arent, it simply doesn't matter to me. There is still a huge following for COD2, just not on our servers. FEAR came and went... WOW came and went... BF2 came and went... yet everything came back to COD2. It will never die. I can understand being bored with it, that's why I stopped playing for awhile. Now that I'm back, it's like a whole new game to me. YOu are all a bunch of douche fuckers, but you are my brothers. That will never die.
I always love how you say 'almost' and 'without'. Just agree that it lacks something and move on. :afro: I agree...old games die...but the thing with console games is the fact that the consoles died and took the games with them... I still play Zelda on the Wii, cause it runs the Gamecube which had the ported 64 version. I played FF VII on PS2 cause it could run the PS1 and I still play UO and CoD2 cause it still runs on PC. They will die when the hardware/software is gone that can run them.
