think i have sust my ping prob

i think the problem with the ping from uk is the server in dallas when i ping it shows it goes through a mountain type area which i think is causing the ping to flutuate up and down. i might be wronge mine goes from 157 to 260 up and down all the time ,its not a straight line it breaks up the line in 1 area with the moutains or whatever they are i might be wronge but it wont help so if you dont mind change it to new york or chicago lol what do you think?

i doubt that a new york server or a chicargo one would ever benefit everyone else in uan ... its alwats either gonna be st louis, dallas, or damn i cant remember the other one...

jus out of interest how many ppl have we got from the uk now?

are u using cable or asdl connection? ive always wondered if that would make a big difference for pings

Im from the UK and on a adsl connection and my pings generally 190 - 210.

Im England too Cable 20 Meg Connection.always had a high ping on uan servers.But in the last week or two its been Great around the 150's.

i think the best way to get a half decent ping which i didnt know before is to get a isp that is unbundled likes of aol or something i had a 2mb connection and pinged chicago at 115 before the swop i did to virgin had a regular ping to uan at 150

i have three computers connected to my router when i was on aol ,and still got ping of 150 whether they were on or not on 2mb connection ,im now on virgin at 8 mb and cant get less than 160 mostly 200 unbundled aol or other service provider dont have ticali or bulldog

im from uk, and my isp is cable [direct] 10mb,on cod2 my pings dropped to around 135 and cod4 its 160+ so big improvement for me,

sorry my isp is virginmedia 10mb ..4got they changed names..
the thing is wiv virgin they say you get your connection speed but what they dont advertise is that everyone gets capped between 4pm until midnight
