Last night my computer started freaking out. When I went into COD 4 all movements with my mouse in the main menu caused the background to lag. When I joined the hardcore server, the lag only came when I was moving my mouse. When I was spectating, I could use my keyboard to move around just fine. My FPS remained between 150-300. The second I moved my mouse my FPS dropped to 20. This problem was also present in COD 2. I tried swithing my video cards and tried a different mouse but with no success. All my other games seem to work fine. Any Ideas?
ive seen that shit before, in fact i was just having that problem the other day dunno whats up, but im pretty sure it has to do with punkbuster how about you send me a hijackthis log for shits and giggles
I was gettin that shit also, right when I connect at the team selection screen, it will drop to 2 fps and stay there for a few seconds..
OK, shit finally got worked out. The problem came from the latest X-Fire update. The game is working fine as long as x-fire is not open.

well thats cool that you got it fixed it helped mine when i set the 2 pb services to low priority i also set a bunch of other tasks that were on high to normal priority
