I was reading that on hardcore servers that all of the HUD is removed, including the map? I get the map but nothing else.. Am I missing something here?
Yeah, someone forgot to let you know how it works... Hardcore means no HUD of any sort, including map. This doesn't get rid of it permanently... when you get 3 kills in a row, you are able to call a UAV--this is just a temporary radar and should go away in a minute or so. The more packed it is, the more people get UAVs, the more it seems like your map is up there for good.
