I am looking for a new router. Anybody tried this one yet? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...mp;Tpk=DGL-4500 If there is a better one out there, let me know. Price is not too much of an issue. I wanna keep it under $200.
Whats this Tomato shit, I have an old link sys does it make it better. Remember you are talking to a dumbass when it comes to this shit.
DD-WRT is the only thing that will fit on my 2MB flash. If you are feeling 1337, you should check out OpenWRT. 100% customizable, check out the optional packages: http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/7.09...x-2.6/packages/
I have the original WRT54G, not sure of the version off hand (possibly v. 1.3). I got Tomato running on it, and I do like it. But, I am still getting some lag. It might just be going out.
yea, what butz said. These firmware give you lots of config options which is great if you know what you're doing. Murder, since you said you weren't great with this stuff, I wouldn't bother messing with it if your router is working fine as you could brick your router if you screw up or use the wrong version firmware.
