New Maps added

Added a few new maps:

mp_island_assault
mp_resparis
Waterfall
mp_fenixreborn
mp_ol_pavlov
mp_overgrown
mp_salerno_beachhead_b

They are not in the rotation, so if you feel like switching to test em out..do so

Overgrown seems to crash the server, however. Not sure why yet.


If anyone has some maps to add/test; pm me or let me know via vent or xfire.

there should be a map pack floating around the ftp somewhere

We are hitting the max maps (or iwd's) for the server, which means I have to take off some maps to put these on. (nothing that hasn't been played in the last 3 months).

Question:

If I repack some of the maps together, some (I doubt regulars) will have to download larger packs. Any problems with this? If you have played most of the maps, you shouldn't have to download (I think).

I am trying to keep the packs I up to 2 -4 maps (approx 20 - 40 meg). Is this too big? Could you take larger?

Keep all packs 40 meg or under if at all possible. We don't want people stealing Badass' shitty connection to wait too long...

Actually I saw a truck from the cable company going up and down the street doing shit to the lines, I take that as a good sign. Kind of like Barack Obama. False hope that will likely just lead to more of the same

Wow. I did notice a marked improvement after that guy went by, but I still was experiencing some intermittent lag. Just much less often. Now that it\'s nearly 2am my time and few people are likely on my network, I ran a speed test.



This speed test is technically impossible...wtf!?!? The upload is telephone, and the modem cannot connect at higher than 33.6kbps. Yet you see the speed...The prospect of two way cable leaves me with a raging boner of anticipation...
