Hey guys, been gone for a long time miss me? well i got a new machine and i installed cod4 yesterday. Patched it all the way up to 1.7, so when i fire mp up, right away i get a stupid ass windows error that it crashed and it must close. I looked on google all night long but no luck. There was something about removing a .asi file from the miles directory that didnt work, i got the lates 8.10 catalyst drivers, vista 32 with sp1. So any idea what the hell i need to do to fix this bitch? let me know if you need more info.
Sounds stupid but insert a mic. jack before you fire up the game. Its a realtek driver issue, but the mic. trick works for alot of people.
oh yeah i did hear something about that last night on google, and i kinda remember that from before. well i just gotta find my fucking mic... man i should be more organized.
COD and my pc don't seem to mix well, i get that problem a lot also, tried everything from sticking a mic in it to stickng my finger up my ass during gaming, nothing seems to work.
I think that file in the "miles" directory is called "mssmp3.asi"... I just changed to extension to .bak or something and it clears up my problem. I have to do that every time I install CoD4..
iw3mp.exe error this works every time for me. Start, control panel -Hardware and Sound -Sound -Recording Tab -Right Click in window, chose "Show Disabled Devices" -"Setero MIX"appeared, Right Click and choose enable injoy
god damn it i have now tried everything, this is a new install of vista. A while back i had this game running perfectly and now it's being a fucking asshole, i have tried probably every fucking fix i could find on google.
