CODWaW - Installing Mods

Ok, Since the people at Treyarch are idiots we have to install mods into a different folder then all other COD games.

As of Patch 1.1 All mods must be installed in to one of these folders(You HAVE to create the mods folder).

Windows XP - Local Settings is a HIDDEN folder
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\mods

Windows Vista - AppData is a HIDDEN folder
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\mods


** Some of these are hidden folders. If the one of the folders is missing it's probably hidden. If you don't know how to view hidden folders Follow one of these.

If your in Windows Explorer.
1. Click Tools, then Folder Options.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Or
1. Click Start then Run, and type "control folders" without the quotes, and hit enter.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.


So for example if your adding the nazi_zombie_subway map. You'd copy the nazi_zombie_subway folder from the zip file into the mods folder. So it would be ..\Activision\CoDWaW\mods\nazi_zombie_subway\


This is rumored to be changing with the next patch, but we will have to see..
