If you dont wanna loose you stuff at Cod4 after a format or anything.. 1.You just have to keep somewhere a copy of the "players" folder and the keycode you have inserted!(if the game is cracked and stuff),or else you probably can see it at the box of the game. 2.Format you pc of anythin... 3.Reinstall and enter the "old" keycode 4.Copy the "players" folder at the activision directory and open the game. 5.when you open the game choose no at the open screen about the weapon defaults and stuff. that's pretty much all! I've done it a lot of times and work perfect! (sorry about my english,if something isn't clearly understood tell it here)
