Official Help Adogg get in the game thread ...

So I installed cod2 this morning and setup all my settings the way I generally like them. Then I tried to play on the UAN server and it downloaded a few files. When it got to a specific file it would disconnect. It was a large file (est time to download was 4mins at about 2 bites a sec, or whatever).

So my first question is, can I download these files elsewhere? And why was it disconnecting? Is this something that only I am experiencing? Is it possible that there are mutiple versions of the mod being downloaded by the clients?

i think that would be the autokick we have running now. it should have let you download them first tho.

Someone put a link somewhere to DL the files needed. I think in the "questions" section.

I got in the game but only played for like 2 mins total. I noticed two things I'd love to see changed ....

Nade Count
30 round clip on the Thompson ...

well, the nades are on a rankings system, so noobs like you cant just go crazy with them all the time, also your tm's set off tripwires, and the thompson has 30 round clip, but only starts out with a 20 for some reason, i looked at it, and my only solution is to copy over the mp40 mod, and leave the thompson skin.

weve been trying to get the beta 8 mod running, but the day it was put on the main server, something happened, and im not quite sure, to my knowledge, it should have been more stable than beta7, but what do i know.

p.s. if you are willing to take a look at some things id be more than willing to show you to the trough.

I'm having the same problem adogg did. The file which is booting people off is the xtremeplus1_4beta2v7.iwd file. It seems there is a script that boots you off if you take too long to connect and it won't let you finish downloading the file. I tried to get the file from modsonline and from the 66.55.131.126 server but the main server wanted to redownload it anyway. The bad thing is, I only needed 4 seconds to finish downloading the file. ;.;

it's the autokick program. We will either adjust it, or i believe there is a link on the forums already with the files you need to download and put into the uan folder.


PS what happened to you blahzer? last i heard, your PC was smoking?

I just bought a new PC. I paid oh a good $600 more than I wanted too, but my computer is pretty hot:

AMD 4400+ X2
2gb RAM
2x Nvidia 7900GTX 512MB graphic cards
300GB HD space

That was $1600 out of my pocket, but I think I got a pretty good deal. I spent $1600 on a PC, and I still don't own a legal copy of COD2.
