Confused on how to connect

Ok, I've been looking for a specific way on how to connect but havn't found one so i did this:

Installed the game
Installed 1.1 patch
Installed 1.2 patch
Installed client side 1.2 crack

Then i opened xfire and im trying to connect to the server but that wont work and if i try and open the client without xfire (to use /connect) it doesnt work.

EDIT: oh and btw im trying to connect to the 3000xp server

Edit again: lol and i forgot, my sound dont work >.>

The power server is on v1.1. You need re-install and patch to 1.1 to connect.

I don't remember how to get the sound to work. Somebody else may.

but it says ive been PB banned, I changed my name from terrabyte to dershil and it happened on both and also i changed cd keys, It says ive been banned prior but i havnt even played CoD5 online yet so idk whats wrong.

You have to keep changing your key... PB has been banning any keys found in torrents

Umm, correction. for the new patch both server and client need the crack.

Unless someone finds a way around the XP thing again, no.
If we patch, the 3000XP will no longer be there, it will be stock.

I recently reinstalled WaW, but when I patched and tried to join, it wouldn't work. I've never had this problem before. Does anybody have any solutions?

correction. it's patched to 1.1....

The 3000 XP server is patch 1.1
The tactical is patch 1.4

Ok, but if I have it patched to a newer version, then shouldn't I be able to click join and see the message that I have the wrong patch?

Ok. I figured out how to play on the 1.1 Server, but when I patched up to 1.4, I cant connect to any servers, even if they are patched to 1.4. Specifically, I can see the server, but I can't press connect or anything.

Yeah unfortunately you can't connect to a server that doesn't have the same patch (exception is CoD4 1.1 and 1.2, which we don't run anymore).

What I'd recommend (if you have the room for it) is copy your entire 1.1 patched CoD:WAW then patch the 2nd copy up to 1.4. That way, you just open the install that has the 1.1 patch to play on our 1.1 server, and the install with the 1.4 patch for any others...

Well, the thing is that I used the 3000xp server to rank up, and then wanted to switch to a regular 1.4 server, but when I patched, it wont let me connect. I think I'm just gonna give up and play Grid.
