Ok, I'm sick of stupid ass noobz who dont know shit ...

Look, I'm going to lay out some tips on the game that your average dumbass noob doesn't know because I'm tired of hearing "nice wallhack" or whatever the fuck they feel like saying cus they get owned.

1. Revenge
When you die, guess what? You know exactly where an enemy is...right where he killed you (or pretty close anyway). I always sprint to that location and seek revenge.

2. Lobbing Nades
Nades are worth nothing when your dead. So if you die with nades you just wasted a couple free shots at kills. I ususally throw all my nades within 30 secs of spawning. Where would be a good spot? See #1 Or if you saw a group when u died thow it there. (Doesnt take a wallhack to throw em over a building) Plus after you kill someone run over their body to get their nades and do it again. Free points.

3. Sprinting
If you dont know how to sprint then no wonder you get owned. Hear a nade clinking on the ground, sprint your dumbass as far as possible from the sound.

4. Straffe
Take someone with a ping of 130 or more....usually you can run straight at em and straffe back and forth and they wont hit shit, its kinda like being in the Matrix...they are lagged....yes a 130 ping is lagged....try playing on a computer at 70 or less...you can fill em full of lead before they even realize what's happened. Get up around 250 on the ping and you're dead before you even see me. If my ping is over 100 I quit....different game...way less responsive...gotta lead em, etc...under 100...just aim and boom they're dead.

5. Algebra time
Skill + good ping = ass kicking
Skill - good ping = Hey, everyone is cheating (no they're just not lagged)
Good ping - skill = waste of a good internet connection

6. Get an eye test
Do you not see bullets flying in the air when someone shoots? Doesn't take a wallhack to figure out someone is right on the other side of the wall when you can see the bullets flying.

7. Noob hiding spots/town meetings/spawn locations
There are only so many places to hide in the game and anyone who's played for a while knows exatly where they are...guess what....so does everyone else...lob a nade blindly at mounted machine guns (esp. ones on stairs) youll usually kill a noob or two...its like bait..they can't resist. If you spawn on the South side of a map guess where the enemy is..............ding ding...that's right on the North side........spawn points shift as enemies fill an area and they usually spawn at the opposite side...takes a real genious to figure that out. Lob a nade or two and you'll end up with 3 or 4 kills w one nade. Oh yeah...if you have the flag and I find you hiding in the basement of a building...guess what....that's cus that's where I look first....I let the noobz handle the obvious places...this also includes upstairs in buildings, corners of the map, lying down, etc..like I said, there's only so many hiding places.

8. To those with aimbots
I know, I know...you can't hit shit and you need an aimbot to do it...first of all it's real obvious...secondly you can hit people faster and more accurately without using one....i can run around in circles when someone is using an aimbot and they will always be shooting just behind me...use one...ill own you everytime

9. Record it or STFU
It is extremely obvious when someone is cheating but too many times people equate ass kicking with they must be cheating (which im sure does happen alot too) but ......spectate and record a demo or STFU...its not that hard to do, look it up.

10. Headphones
If you dont play with headphones then no wonder you're confused on how others find you. Get some good headphones and you'll be amazed at how you can tell where shots are coming from. It's like a audio wallhack. Surround speakers work too but not as good as headphones IMHO.

11. Keyboard and Mouse (anyother way = owned)
The abolute #1 way to play first person shooters is with the keyboard and mouse....some may say trackballs fit in that group....not for me anyway...all my movement is on my left hand on the keyboard and aiming and shooting is on the right hand on the mouse...this lets you straffe left or right and move back or forward at the same time...again someone with a not so great ping cant hit shit when you move spratically...practice on moving in different directions while keeping your crosshairs on the target...if you can do that then you'll be on your way to ownage.

Ok, ok...enough for now.....I just get sick of whiners who really have no idea what they are talking about. If you can't score twice as many kills as you have deaths then either you suck or your ping sucks, either way STFU.

well, I think that that probably goes about as far as one can go without getting into response times in gfx and monitors. it might be worth it to say that most weapons are weighted differently in damage. I know a lot view it as cheating if they shoot someone with an mp40 three times, and he gets them in 1 shot with a kar.

edit: also a lot of the extremely good players I have met are very well educated on the university and beyond level. It might be prudent to point out that a lot of the super good players have studied advanced maths.

But I think there is a bigger problem. I have noticed (in the past) that some of the uan guys really dont know what to look for with cheats. Some of the individuals with shadier pasts have a pretty good idea (Yeah spider, we all remember how many times codbot was patched for pb! Research my arse.)

so here are some lessons on "cheetahs" from a one time cheater:
1: Just because someone is shooting walls doesnt mean they have a wallhack. I often shoot walls when I am bored in any first person shooter. Have a problem with that? The best way to detect a wallhack is to watch while using one yourself. If you simply cant use one, look for people aiming and setting up around corners. They are primarily the individuals with wallhacks.

2: aimbots. Not everyone who can aim has an aimbot. Why do so many people have trouble with this thought? The best ways to detect aimbot is to observe for jitters in the crosshairs. They will jerk before movement on most aimbots. Another way to tell is if the guy continues to aim at people when reloading, or if he aims and follows a lot of people without firing his weapon.

3: Look for the most obvious cheats. I can't begin to tell you how many people get away with a no recoil hack while admins are looking for high profiled stuff like wallhacks and aimbots!

4: to the cheaters: cheat a little smarter. For fucks sakes, go get a triggerbot or a wire hack that are much harder to detect.

Soma. Gee, guess it's a good thing I didn't delete your account like you wanted me to. Still don't know what that was all about.

As for UAN members not knowing what to look for: Many of our members have never seen/used a cheat so of course they wouldn't recognize something not obvious. It's also not their job to. There are a few of us that take it upon themselves to keep the server enjoyable to play on.

We have over 200 players a day average on our server. The ones that know what to look for, spectate randomly, record cheaters and then ban them. We have banned about 20+ cheats in the past month. I say that's not bad. It's not like "oh you're UAN now, spend all your time spectating people"

And yes, some of them have been because of no-recoil.

If you're offering your services to help cut down on cheaters, let us know.

I dont have the game any longer elmo. I reformated as planned and would have to get it again to do anything.

However I consider how much bandwidth I have used, and how many resources I have taken up--I would be willing help out if you guys need it. So if you need it dont hesitate to ask.

Hey the server does kick ass and there a lot less cheaters than some servers that for sure. I would gladly offer my services and I'd even provide recorded evidence of offenders...make a hall of shame or something...itd be funny.

In other words, most of the people from UAN, are all about having a good time, and id say most of the players here arent as good as others (waffles and mullet suck so bad, but i wont say nothing to them) when the seasoned players/gamers are online, they offer their services, and yes we do spectate, but we as well, like having fun, so dont bother wasting our time, until it is apparent that someone is cheating. if they are good at cheating, all it means is they wil play a little while longer before we ban the shit out of them, talk trash about their ancestors, and stop fucking their mothers....yes I AM YOUR FUCKING DADDY, get over it, i aint buying you shit, tell your mother to keep her legs closed, besides, it could have been anybody who crossed the 1980's lakers roster, but i assume since your playing video games instead of earing your spot into the NCAA, that you must be mine. which is fine i guess, i didnt give you the gay name you have so dont bother bitchin at me about it. if it were up to me, id name you Sue. get all my names for kids from singers (Aaliyah) im thinking my next kid will be Cletus T Judd. not that i can have anymore, Hoedown sucked my so dry i have to regrow some balls, but watch out then!

I suppose any experienced player knows exactly what RedRocket is talking about. I've played CoD and CoD2 since they came out and i kinda got stuck on this server, because it's fast and there are many good players.

Only downside is... the server is in Texas, and I'm in the Netherlands. As far as I know my ISP has a damn fine connection with the US, but my ping never gets lower than 140.... 140 millisecs is like an eternity on a game like this. I manage to get reasonable scores with it though...

To my opinion at least, I think i'm pretty skilled, (although nowhere near as skilled as some of the UAN guys and people like RedRocket and Soma) but my ping makes it impossible to get a better score. It's ok when i meet noobs on the field, I just strafe and shoot, but when i meet low ping experienced players, I strafe, they strafe and i have to aim a couple meters in front of them just to get a hit. Predicting where they go is nearly impossible. Pretty annoying yes and it probably costs me dozens of kills per game.
I've played on other US servers and my ping wasn't that high there
Still, this server rocks, the mods rock and the game speed rocks, so i'll probaby keep playing here... (is there any way to donate without paypal btw?).

Oh maybe it's just that I don't study maths, but international law....so ping doesn't have anything to do with me sucking against the better players :wink:

I don't play with headphones, but my 1 meter tall speakers in combination with the CoD2 positional audio gives me a pretty good idea where any sound is coming from

I use $15 dollar headset, and i hear and know everything...but hell, i dont even need sound to hear someone coming from behind me, my asshole kinda twitches, i turn and bash.

its cool to somebody finally write that its so disgusting people that get owned and think everybody is cheating, but anyways i have bad luck my ping is a Sh*t but anyways i have enough skills to kill some people hehehe 8)
