Trouble with lag or the new mod?

Been a lot of issues lately with the new mod and lag in general due to the increase in server population (yay!). I would ask before posting any problem that you try adjusting your settings to the following Badass™ patented settings:





If running the game under these awful conditions does not improve your gameplay and you still experience lag, then you know it's definitely not a hardware issue. More than likely it is though, as this mod is less complicated than eXtreme which is the whole reason we went to it. If you are still lagging under these settings, may I suggest finding a new game to play. Quake Wars seems popular these days.

yeah i dunno why people are getting such lag.. its gotta be hardware as ive been getting NO lag even on high settings.. they are most likely playing on office computers kinda like how mine was when i got it.. 64 mb card.. 512 mb ram.. ect

first i want to say i really like the new mod

i have more lag than before i guess.. if i want to start running. i dont know what happened than, but the game shocks at that moment..
And my ping is going sometimes to 230 - 500. Didnt change anything about my settings and i wont do it either.
btw its not always that is does something like that, just every now and than

i was on for about 2 hours and all i got was a terribly lag that got me killed and usually my ping is anywhere between 70-90 but i kept getting a short 999 then back down...

i dont know if its the mod or not but i played on your server for 9+ hours total and i never lagged before today

i thing there was a hacker somewhere too because there were name changed everywhere

I noticed that when the server (72.249.94.148) comes around in the rotation to the "Outskirts" map that it kicks everyone for some such cvar variable inconsistency. I can't remember the actual error. But I believe that it was something about 'ambient' or some such.

Just a heads up.
