Fuckin bullshit punkbuster

ive been tryin to login cod5 servers and i keep gettin the same fuckin problem with Punkbuster....

can some1 explain wtf is this shit

ur using hax and u shut down ur punkbuster b.

run the pbsv.exe.. then click test. some say to uninstall then reinstall but I've never had it...

i dont even have that program on my cod5 folder....

OOO (Order of Operation)

Run pbsvc.exe (uninstall services, reinstall)
Restart computer
Update PB via pbsetup
Make sure your PnkBstrA & PnkBstrB services are running and set to Automatic Startup
--on XP (run>services.msc), if they aren't set to to Automatic Startup, set them

Turn off any ACTIVELY SCANNING ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE during gaming
--if it lags out when scanning, PB will usually not like it

Run the game... if it continues, go through this list again and don't forget to restart..
If there are still problems after a second run-through, post again...

question.. if u have cod4 already installed it means PnkBstrA & PnkBstrB should be running already..

I found that installing PB in a separate folder works for me. I put it in C:\PunkBuster
Download PB, and put it in that folder.
Run pbsetup.exe
Click add game, and select CoD#
Then update.

Always works for me. I don't use the one installed with the game, because I can never add a game to it.

PBSetup isn't PB alone.. when you run it, it makes the a pb folder in each game folder. I run PBSetup in a separate folder as well just so I know where it is...

Lacoste, do you have any Antivirus programs? Do you have any firewalls actively running? If so, which ones?
There is something blocking the communication of PB and it isn't the game itself.

If I don't have a separate folder for Punkbuster, and add a game manually, then I can't play. I have to add the game manually. It just might, maybe, possibly work for Lacoste, as it worked for me...
