Can someone help me

I tried to connect to the CoD5 server

Up All Night 3000XP
72.249.94.148:28961

And CoD5 comes up with, make a profile, If I try to make one, it just comes up again. I read that you should be able to join just by doing /connect IP- I tried that and the console says "Couldnt get profile instance, are we loged on?"

Is there anything special I need to do to be able to make a profile/connect to server?

you have to only be at patch 1.1 and when that profile comes up you just have to hit esc and get out of it. then if you can get to main screen try the normal /connect

yes they are aware, but it can't be 3000xp server then.

update 1.2 made it impossible to have rank up servers. so no shoot one guy go up a level... aw shucks.

so to play on that server you need to have a version 1.1 game. most of us have one install with all the updates and another in a second location with 1.1, so go install your "fixed" version again on a second HD or in your documents folder or something.

You can't get the new maps and bug fixes if its 1.1. You should just tell people- google.com, theres instant level 55 scripts out there that work perfectly

Odd, just did a test, tried connecting to a 1.5 server (84.106.121.194:28962) is the one I tried.

It still wont let me connect, keeps saying "are we logged on?"

Any ideas why its doing that?

since it isn't a uan server i suggest you use that google thing you mentioned. oh btw don't mention hacks, since hacking is frowned upon.

Reverse enginering the exe so you can do 3000 XP isnt frowned upon? Yet using a "hack" to get instant 55 if you had to reformat and lost your profile is? Did google, can't find any info on it, everyone says all you need to do is /connect IP, idk why mine does the profile loop

It isn't reverse engineering, fyi. It is exploiting a flaw in the dvar's that allow any server admin to do this.
I don't know about the whole profile loop because I am unable to play the game.

If a person was to want to play the game, they might wanna try GOOGLE to search for HOW TO PLAY COD5 (duh.)
There are many GUIDES on how to properly install and play all over the net.

BTW, it's not a profile loop. If that person would just SEARCH ON GOOGLE on HOW TO INSTALL AND PLAY COD5 he/she will see what that is all about.

Never played CS. I used to play RPG and MMORPG more than anything. I have only played shooters like Quake 2&3 and RedFaction, etc...so CoD is kind of a refreshing change.
