server help

I was trying to get into your WaW server, the up all night 3000xp. but it says my WaW MP differs from yours.

Im not sure what exact version were running because I dont play WaW but your problem would because of your patch level not matching ours

Well i have 1.5

We are running patch 1.1 on that server... any later patches got rid of the ability for the server to be 3000xp...

that just goes to show how activision blows.

If you have the room, you can just do a clean install, copy the folder... then patch one install to 1.1 and one to the latest...

That's what a lot of people 'round here do.

it's more like, install, patch to 1.1, copy folder, then patch original to 1.5 or whatever...

Yeah, I guess we can upgrade... no need for a power ranking server this late after release, although we need to make sure our current players upgrade to the newest patch--maybe spam the server for the next day or so, then patch it.

could set up a poll and spam the server to see if they want it patched??

the new maps are a bitch to go through since most are multilevel and bottle neck everywhere......so the camping will only increase.

I would like to patch it. Why not? Unless you have to reformat/reinstall or something, but you can back up the config file if ya need, right?
I say do it as long as the gameplay stays exactly the same, meaning....dogs are same difficulty, pretty much any shot will kill you 1st hit, tanks take 5 tank shots to explode or whatever. You know what I mean.

It will be weird to play Makin Day and see it all lit up lol.

Also...there isn't a "no-cd" patch (wink, wink) for version 1.6 that just came out that I have found..maybe do an upgrade to 1.5?

It's for campaign and single player isn't it? I can't find one for coop and multiplayer (and LAN)

Our other W@W server does so good, why not upgrade the 3000xp one... The only reason people play on it is because of the 3000xp...

Why not take the server that nobody uses and make it the way we want?

Cause the other server is streaming PB and can't be "altered"...
