Ok, so the SLM server is down and several people have approach me about getting a new COD2 server running. I am interested in getting something rolling again, but it will take some effort from all of us. I want to find a config that will accommodate the UAN Style of play (run and gun, fast paced), but I also want to make some considerations for the Masses that would join from other known servers such as SLM. I would like for any of you make suggestions on what you think this config should be like. I am not guaranteeing that this suggestion will make the final cut, but it will help in getting the features in there that we want. I will take considerations on maps, mods, tweaks, gametypes, etc. I would appreciate that you only post suggestions that honestly help the creation and start of a new COD2 server. Perhaps we can try out some different gametypes... something with a bit more spark to it. I know extreme comes with a ton of gametypes, yet we still only played 3-4 of them. Do away with the "only UAN likes these" maps... like Bashmap and a few others. Bring some of the old classics back that we ALL loved but have just slowly fallen off the rotation. Make use of the player-sized map rotations that are in most mods. Custom skins would be awesome, something to change the look of the game. Actually make use of the mod (be it new or used) rather than it being a "filler" for trips, cooked nades, etc... USE THE MOD!
Trip frags gone! I loved the map that sniper had up the other day. It was a castle type place with a graveyard out back. Pretty awesome, sorry I don't remember the name... :huh:
SLM was running Extreme Cracked 1.3 with the speed about the same as our current server -mall spawn delay (3 sec I think) -lots of XSD gametype and rifles only with custom maps that were rotated in and out fairly often -map vote -WMD -Trips If I can remember more Ill update this post

also extreme search and destroy giving u 7 respawns when the team is being eliminated or the bomb is been planted and destroy the object the losing team became the "destroy team" and the other the "search team" up to 10 rounds limit.

nice news I want: new Xtreme mod, if is possible. new maps. parachutes drop (at start) more bolts maps. keep avatars (and I want mine ) keep trips. .. no more by now..

Is this gonna be a new server or a replacement for the one we have?!? Just thinking from a IP standpoint...
