New Computer

    Xp!der, i need your assistance.

    i need you to spec me out a socket 939 mobo, with an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ proc, and 2 gigs o' DDR with a 256Mb vidya card. MUST be SATA, i have a spare 250 gig i want to use, and recycle my dvd cooker and SB Audigy into the new box. perhaps adding a nice case to the mix would be cool!

    let me know the damage and the shipping, thanks in advance homie G.

    the comp i just build is pretty close to the specs you want. i ended up picking the Foxconn N-force 4 board.

    i didnt need sli support so there was no reason to buy that, and i had everything else i want.

    as for video card i dunno what your budget is, but if you can spring for it grab the 7800 gt. a solid card is the 6800 gt or ultra. i ended up buying the 6600gt and eventhough its a quality card, i wish i dropped the 100 more. but ive always been a nvidia man, so im kinda biased. (although ive heard some of the ati's cant compete)

    as for case though, you are on your own... dont know if you are one of those "i need the entire city of las vegas in my computer case" people. if you are more power to ya.....

    Are you against Micro Form Factor Mobo's?, we have the Foxconn's
    as well But they are fairly new, and I haven't had time to put one through it's paces yet.
