    Yes, very well written, and if you read the comments section he actually did some additional tests (after people whined) that showed the difference between dual and quad core cpu's with the game was marginal at best. Their next Frostbite 2.0 engine should be better in that area however. I thought that the crashes to desktop might be from people's hardware not being up to snuff, but last night I crashed several times and I'm running a GTX285 so clearly that's not it. Overall it's a great game, and hopefully in the coming weeks they will have the connection and crash issues ironed out. I've dealt with much worse game releases and less support so I haven't lost hope yet XD

    I am running an i7 920 with dual 9800GTs. I don't think I should be getting the crashing issues, although I believe we discovered last night that the issues are tied to our server.

    On absolutely low settings I am getting 115 FPS @ 1920X1200.

    Ok, so I tried a solution I found on a forum... This is for the graphical glitches and stuttering that I have seen.

    Give it a shot:

    I'm using the 196.21 drivers with SLI.

    Go into your BFBC2 directory:

    Steam = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield bad company 2\"

    Non-Steam = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\battlefield bad company 2\"

    Now, change all of the following .dlls to "old". This will force the game I believe to use the older ones on the system.

    This has seemed to make a difference for me and the performance I get. Tonight I did not crash once (even on UAN server).

    Let me know how it goes.

    No we all crashed on a separate server and all separate times from one another. Im going to try your solution I hope it works for me as well.

    Not saying it has worked for sure yet. Also, Not sure if this will be the same result for ATI as it is for NVidia.
