A 1GB GTX460 (similar to what you linked) would be great or an AMD 6870. The 460 can be OC'd to push right at the levels of a 6870 but if you were to get a 460 get one with an external exhaust heatsink (or all of the hot air produced by the GPU will be expelled around your chassis).
    :D

Heres a decent comparison of performance budget GPU's: Link

Yeah I'm sure although I haven't personally messed around with a 6870 yet. The GTX460 uses a newer Fermi GF104 chip this is much cooler and has a much lower TDP. If you ever plan on getting another GPU for a multi-GPU (SLI or CrossfireX) get the 460. If you only want to run one GPU get the 6870.

I'm personally skipping a 6870 to see what we have for the 69xx series (I really want 2GB). Shouldn't be too expensive either.
If you want something really good, wait ~6m for the 28nm stuff from AMD... should put shit NV 5xx in their place for 2011-2.

I didn't notice the pound sign (1.4 -1). I wouldn't get the the 470 now it uses the older GRF100 chips which are warmer. The newer power house chips are being released tomorrow, the GF110 they're more efficient and considerably faster. There will be four revisions with the new chips from the mid-range (the refresh of the 470) all the way up to the GTX580.

It will be this time next year before you see the 28nm fabrication process hit retail.
