    Austin_Powers Ace Status CallMeMaybe?

    Hey,

I have a question, i had a conversation with someone on msn messenger (9.0 version) en normally i save all the conversations.
I don't do anything with it most of the time but now someone did send me a internet link with some information on it that i need for school.
Now the problem is that i lost that internet address, so i thought i check my logfiles but it didn't save that conversation. And the guy who send it to me can't find it back and never saves his conversations.
Now i found somewhere what the problem could be for not saving it, and it is this: if you don't close msn by yourself it wont save the conversation. And thats the problem, my laptop only has battery for 5 min tops, and i put it away without plugging it in. So i didnt even open that address so i cant find it in my internet history.

Now the question, does anyone of you guys know if there is a folder with temp. logfiles for livemessenger? I did use google to find it but i can't, or i am searching at the wrong way.
I would be a big help and i will give a $5,- donation if i can find it back with your help.

    Thanks

You might want to try looking there.
I haven't used MSN messenger since Xfire added support for it--no chat logging unfortunately.

no i couldn't get it fixed, but i could be me, i dont know a thing about computers.
a lot of google brought me the right page :).

I think if i didn't use ccleaner before i needed it back it would be easier and probably worked.

CCleaner will fook up your computer. I would only use it if you know what you are doing.

i never had any problems with it, and use is for 5 years now i think. What problems can it give me, maybe i dont recognize any problems because i dont know anything about those computer things :p ? and do you have an alternative program for the same use?

CCleaner is fine... and shouldn't fuck up your computer in the sense of making it unstable, but it can kill recovery attempts, and cause a nuisance if you clear all the cookies... I usually white list a few sites that I know I want to keep.

Never had any problems, but then again I've never had anything important enough to blame CCleaner.

Mainly, if you use it to clean your registry, it can mess stuff up.

i did it also for cleaning my registry, but i also did make a back-up of it so i any problems would start i could turn it back. CCleaner asked for the back-up thing, others i wouldn't even know i could do that haha
