So here's my problem... Open up BC2, load Vietnam... go into server browser, I can see servers... I can see that they're half-full or whatever. Try to join one, and I get an error "connection to the server has been lost, please check your network connection and try again." However, when I hit "play now," it throws me into a server (albeit an empty one). I've googled, but I'm tired. Someone fix it for me. I'm sure the game is great and all, but so far it's been a ginormous bucket of fail and waste of $35.
The EA master servers are fooked... I got this error and I was eventually able to get in as well. I even had my rank reset to 1 in game when I joined a server. I then played for a bit and then my rank was back to 33. Weird stuff. This happened in the beta and in the release of the game. They probably need more back end servers/resources to handle the demand.
i wish i could help, so far i haven't had any problems with it, but i just freshly installed bc2 and with it v . but the other day i had to completely install steam and all games to get my cod to work.
