BLOPS ranked server.

I to was puzzled at the change when I got on today. I got on and tried to get the server fired up with Demon and Shepp everything was goin good peeps started showin up and when the pre-match was over they were dropping like flies I'm guessin due to the game type, never had I seen people leave immediately like today. Stayed in the server for a bit to see if I could interest anymore players and nuttin. I agree with Waz on this and am a lil bothered by the fact shit got changed w/o any heads up or discussions. I think in the future it should be discussed amongst the admins or voted on by members to see what they wanna play as a whole. Change is good in my opinion but not at the drop of a hat. Oh and this greenie does play in that server .

I voiced my opinion about about changing the gametype last night but it went unheard. There is really no point in having a Nuke server that is not Domination (although recently I heard HQ Nuke also nets significant experience).

The only real main objective in playing on a 24/7 Nuke server is to rank up more quickly. On that note the 2 gametypes that allow for this is Domination and HQ. It is counter productive to have the gametype set as anything else. I will still support the servers but I do not plan on playing on the Nuke server anymore. As it is a uphill battle now to populate and less efficient to play on (this opinion is shared by most of the other UAN'ers that regular the server).

keep fucking with shit and you'll lose anyone who likes to play on the servers. I'm telling ya. You leave one fucking server to get people to see our name, and then you do with the other server what you want. You have to do what's popular to gain the traffic you're desiring.

However, I agree with chris in saying that changes need to be voted on by all active members. There shouldn't be a little grouping of an admin or two who decides on this shit. Changes to servers need to go through all members who actually play on them.

... If hasn't already been done, the server should be reset to DOM. As far as changing shit... the main server, which is now the Nuketown, should stay as is, unless previously decided upon.

Nuketown works well with Domination,HQ,TDM and Sabotage...being Dom the best for nuke.yesterday when the update finished,i fill the server in 2min,it work well until the gametype changed and players immediately leave.today as murder said,it happen again.so the gametype is the problem.
Beeing nuke the server that draws more attention,messing it is the same as giving up and just put his death certificate on the table.we have the HC server(that is empty all the time)for what?cant we have a Nuke DOM and a Core with map rotation and gametype rotation?TDM and DOM like in COD4.

What are you talking about "except for Bender"? Chris is still ranking up as well as Murder, Cabj, Cer, Demon, Ramathorn and Shark was at one point (pretty much anyone active in the clan that actually plays the game).

I concur with Cabj that the server should be moved to NJ. For whatever reason (it could be a number of things) Jersey Gameservers.com rentals run much better than Dallas based ones, they offer significantly less lag and seem to stay more populated. Ping is somewhat irrelevant, a NJ server even runs better for Shark who is located all the way in the North West (thus the reason why the unranked server is located in NJ, why not the Nuke server).

What's your point? I think the point is that we are all active members and to make a substantial change should involve some kind of non-clan clan involvement. You go about changing things without asking consensus and you can't expect anything less than what's going on now.

Congratulations Muddr you found a handful of 24/7 Nuketown non-Domination servers out of 15k+ servers. The point of all this was domination is by far the most prevalent gametype played on 24/7 Nuke servers (for reasons listed above). We already have a hard time maintaining numbers on the server, why make things any harder than they need to be?

Also it was the manner in which the server was changed. You went from being normal chillin Muddr to complete asshole in about 2 seconds when I suggested why you shouldn't change the gametype. It wasn't a debate but only a few reasons on why not to change it. You shrugged me off with no reason and said you couldn't hear me on vent... not cool.

Anyways all is well now, everyone voiced their opinions and all long lasting butthurt has been avoided
