I'm looking for a free but good way to store an image of my computer so I can reinstall back to that point. Something better than restore point. Also, what program should I get for measuring my heat temps?
For what it's worth, I utilize Paragon Backup and Recovery. It's free and pretty self explanatory and easy to implement. I've also used Acronis in the past with good success. Paragon allows you the ability to perform differential backups, if you so desire. Scheduling, bootable media... all that shizzle is included as well. (not sure where the free vs. paid gets you though). I used it right after I had everything configured and installed but before I actually started really using my machine. http://www.paragon-software.com/home/br-free/
Adogg you can just use the W7 built-in image creating utility (I'm not referring to system restore). Here is a guide on how to use it: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/4241/how-to...e-in-windows-7/ If you're still concerned about your cooler, you can use this utility to monitor your core temps: http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/ RealTemp is usually the most accurate and consistent utility for monitoring core temps.

"You can only use a network drive location for W7 professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise; unfortunately." burn it to a disc and what version of W7 are you running?
