Right now, I am rocking the following: i7 920 evga x58 3x sli (motherboard is failed and awaiting rma. don't really wanna fuck around with rma process) 12GB corsair vengence ram 560 gtx in SLI 120gb ssd/1tb hdd Im having trouble which upgrade path to take... on 1 hand, IB/SB are done, and were just waiting on haswell and its new chipset to take over. It also looks like haswell is going to be lame for desktops possibly, as intel now has a hardon for laptop and smartphone fags. On the other hand, IB-E is a year away? And you can probably expect a similar disappointment from SB->IB. Is high end gaming dead? I dont want to wait 2 weeks for my RMA'd board where I get to lose my lifetime warranty for another refurbished piece of shit. I cant just go buy a new board because that shit still costs 200. All 3 options (SB, IB, SB-E) are fairly close in cost, with the exception being hecta-core being a few hundred more. Whould I opt to just fork over the cast and stick with my i7 920?
Spend as much as you can. Preferably on a credit card. Make sure it will be obsolete by the time you pay it off.
