I got a question for you...What do you have your page file set to in Virtual memory? I have 2 GBs of Ram...and I have set my page file to 3070 MBs. Is that too much or too little? I heard this could really help in making performance better.
your page file should be on a seperate hard drive from your operating system, and be no more than twice the size of the amount of RAM you have.
i'd imagine because the os is constantly reading/writing to the main drive, and the 2nd HDD is sitting there collecting dust. If you take the strain off of one drive and put it onto an unused drive, then you can only improve things. OF course, fuzion and xp1der will now have an argument involving linked pages and dead monkeys about this. Sit back and enjoy.

I thought you already had to have BF2 1.3 to get AF. You should be able to update to 1.3 w/o bad effects. But you can reinstall AF and EF afterward if it does fuck up the game. Either way. If you bought EF AND AF without a legit key ea fucked you out of $20. If you have a legit key but no legit CDROM you can mount the SF mds/mdf (not iso) and play online. I do all the time. Dont use any no-cd files with BF2 especially if you have a legit key. They will PB KEYBAN/HWBAN your ass in a heartbeat.

Heres a neat little app ive used for a long time. Its a good tweak tool. Not the most complete, but it leaves out alot of bullshit you dont need.
