Reveal trailer and initial thoughts

I think it will be fun. The setting will not allow all of the gimmicky gadgets and hopefully make the infantry experience more important. The guns will be simplified and melee combat will be interesting to experience.

I love vehicles in Battlefield, but they have taken over it seems. When you have helicopter pilots and tanks just dominating, I think it detracts from the overall fun.

Hopefully in this game they add more balance and do not go too crazy with all attachments, unlocks, perks and stuff. I'd rather have a more simple rock, paper and scissor dynamic in MP where every player knows the nuances of how to assault, support and counter.

BF3/BF4 were fun games, but they just went crazy in this this regard and added a layer of complexity that affected team balancing and their ability to be successful. This is why I found myself mostly playing TDM. The team balance always felt lopsided. Either you were on the team dominating or you are on the team getting destroyed.

With better map design and simpler game mechanics, I hope they can make this game more competitive.

It does look fun. And I feel you about the unlocks and kit build outs. Hopefully being that it's based around WW1 they will limit that stuff.

I'm very much desillusioned BF2 fan.. Will not buy a presale copy. I've had high hopes up before and it is very well possible they made a Battlefront with a WW1 mod and as well, I already own a battlepack with useless xpboosters..

I would love the true succesor to Bf2 though..

Joke aside,i found the trailer awesome and im a little hipe for the game.But i really need to see some gameplay and try the Alpha/Beta...Hardline and Battlefront was just a disappoint.

I didn't buy either of these games after trying the betas for each.

I did the Hardline beta until I found the survival syringe - trunk rpg meta.. blow everything up including yourself and revive yourself.. rinse-repeat.. No M16 scrubcrutch needed when you have infinite rockets and self revive.

I sooo skipped the whole Battlefront beta for a shit ton of reasons, one of them being the one here above..

Everyone and his mom will be playing alphas and betas for BF1.. probably not me. I'll wait and sit it through. Got enough buddies with tickets to the hype-train already. Did I tell you guys that I have over 120GB spend on my SSDs just to have an install of BF4 and GTAV sitting on my computer while I might put less then 5 hours each month in those games?

I did play Blizzards Overwatch (had not played any Blizzard games since Warcraft3..) beta last weekend, and that was actually pretty awesome. I had a lot of fun with a game that seemed quite well done. Didn't feel beta-ish at all and balancing issues encountered were all due to people being dumbasses. Friggin marevelous "random hero mode" solved that 100%. Getting stuck on a team with 5 healers and no offense was real but all thanks to RNGesus.. It was a lot of fun.

Overwatch was fun. They announced the last bets version will be the version they launch with. I might pick it up.
