Could someone please fill me in on FPS. I did a check through my console cg_drawfps commmand and I'm getting between 20 and 70 FPS. I know thats shit. Is this just linked to Video card being too shit or does it have many things lnked to it ie. processor speed, RAM, and Video card combined. I've been messing around with new drivers etc.., and settings on the game, but still can't get much better performance outta my shitbox machine. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks, from the Gutter

    short answer... yes.

long answer: Your whole computer contributes to framerate, if your RAM and processor can't keep up your video card can't use its full potential.

I just went from a RARE Northwood 2.8ghz 400mhz FSB machine to a 3.4ghz prescott 800mhz FSB machine; same vid card. The difference is like night and day.

next to the vid card i think the FSB is the second most important thing, even over CPU speed. Also, you want 1mb of L2 Cache for gaming. L3 if you be clocking the dough
