Does it crash out to an error? Also, you might try cleaning up your /main folder in the COD2 directory. If you jump in and out of a lot of servers with customs maps, they all start to clutter up and eventually conflict with each other. This is mainly because some custom maps bear the same name and server admins often rename custom maps. Do NOT delete anything with iw_01 - iw_15 or the localized_xxxx files. You might have a lot of tmp and renamed custom map files in there. If uncertaion, move them all into a different folder, named junk and let the server redownload them for you as needed. Also, check to make sure you have the latest graphics drivers for your video card. After you have tried this, see if Duskville still crashes for you. I personally have never seen a desktop crash on that map.
