I had the same problem...I fixed it with DL the PBsetup.exe and obtaining the newest PB files... Worked like a charm...
I wasn't able to run Special Forces on Reinstall of BF2 and SF... I found this fix and it works great......

Replacing HD's on Laptops is not that difficult...Most laptops come with instructions on how to do this...
