<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div> Listed as dropping in June. Looks like they used that house with the pool in front from the single player where the two soldiers you play meet. Basically a big house/compound that I've hoped they put into a DLC since I played SP. Looks boobies. <object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Neq7LFDJxNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x000000&color2=0x000000"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Neq7LFDJxNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x000000&color2=0x000000" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object> Other DLC's to drop later this year: Battlefield 3: Armored Kill in the fall, and Battlefield 3: End Game in the winter.
Key Features *Get plunged into frantic and relentless infantry combat *Check your corners as death can come from any angle *HD destruction lets you reduce entire locales to ruin *Earn new weapons and bring them back to the base game *Complete new assignments and equip unique dog tags *Play in new ways, mixing team play and instant action The HD Destruction in Close Quarters lets players riddle the environment with bullets, reducing entire locales to ruin. Everything from furniture to plaster can be shot to pieces, and players can see the result of the mayhem as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor. The tight level design and many opportunities for vertical gameplay mean players will need to bring their A game if they want to stay alive in this highly competitive theater of war. This fall will also bring the expansion pack Battlefield 3: Armored Kill. Featuring all-out vehicle warfare with new tanks, ATV’s, and mobile artillery, it also includes the biggest map in Battlefield history. Come winter, it is time for the fourth expansion pack Battlefield 3: End Game. Come back next week for the first gameplay trailer and screenshots from Battlefield 3: Close Quarters. http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield3/1/close-quarters
http://ea.gamespress.com/release.asp?i=1741 I don't know about 'Close Quarters'... It almost seems like DICE noticed that Metro has been the most popular map and I fear that 'Close Quarters' has been designed to just be a multi-map Metro/M320/RPG/USAS fag fest for the scrubs. W/e's insta-full server but full of tweenie raging scrubs (I don't miss our Metro server one bit) Idk, I guess we will have to wait and see. Please don't douche it up DICE
Screenshot of Close Quarters Map http://bf3blog.com/2012/03/new-screenshot-...e-quarters-map/ 2-16 player servers...ghey. Close Quarters is obviously geared towards the console market, I'm looking more towards the Armored Kill DLC
keep in mind there are like 4 levels if it's like the SP. If not... gheysauce. mmmmmm armor..... mmmmmm
I for one would like to see a little more focus on infantry gun play and tactics. But, I am more into the run and gun style of play.

Anyone else notice that cod smells like dirty vajayjay? In all honestly, this DLC pack was created to promote the new dedicated server rental services for consoles that are being released by Microsoft and Sony. This was DICE's idea and doing but MS and Sony are going to provide/run the services (XBOX Live and PSN Network). Pretty cool for the console gamer I guess. Next Gen consoles are right around the corner and if customizable dedicated servers for consoles become mainstream, that could be a real donkey punch to PC gaming.
I would throw another dlc pack if i was the boss. But hey,you can`t have it all. Don`t really know yet ,if it`s worth the price. But i am getting it. Got this off of YT. Confirmed weapons: SPAS 12 MTAR-21 (Equi gun) AUG LSAT L86A1 ACW-R SCAR-L I hope it includes the UZI XM8 LMG and the MG3.
Having dedicated servers for console, means that dedicated servers are available for console. How will this be bad for the PC platform? You think this feature will draw players away from the PC market?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rofstof @ Mar 13 2012, 11:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div> No PDW or marksman rifle in there.. and the DLC comes with 10 new weapons.. 10 is an odd number for 4 kits + a shotty and a PDW.. I see at least 2 assault rifles (AUG,ACW-R) , 2 LMG's (LSAT,L86A1) and 1 carbine (SCAR-L) and the SPAS-12 being a shotty of course.. <strike>MTAR-21 could be in Carbine, AR, or PWD config</strike>.. oeps found it.. It will be the Micro Tavor, I guess there's your 21st century Uzi RoF..
Just finished the campaign cuz I wanted to see the mansion level myself, and at one point I was holding a Barrett M82 <strike>or AS50</strike>* sniper riffle. My guess is that that will be the recon unlock for the CQ dlc. It felt a bit like a bull in a china shop having a huge .50 cal canon with IRNV for a CQB situation.. *(It had a 10 round clip so I think I'm quite safe thinking it's the Barrett M82A1..)

It's a pretty decent story by Niklas Fegraeus, Lead Designer Battlefield 3: Close Quarters (he also did B2K). For all the people that hate the new CQ dlc, you are probably missing the point. As this guy states, he has been trying to move his CS background (from way before BF series) into the Frostbite engine. Smaller maps without vehicles = more destructive enviroment. The new game mode will be Conquest Domination not unlike UT. It seems BF3 is on it's way to do all the cool stuff in other games in BF3 itself. As I mentioned before this game mode might actually be very interesting to play in smaller teams or as eSports.
