mostly xp and money but yeah, you get materials after battles you other guys should send an email to giveaway@mmofront.com with 'CrimeCraft Starter Kit' as the subject to get the code.
I only played the beta so I can't really say. I do know that they actually ban cheaters and put out exploit fixes pretty quickly.
