Hi, I recently made myself aware of your servers and found it a nice place to go around and from where to get good frags and get fragged. Either way, my extent of frag time has noticeably come to be reduced to a fistful of minutes due to the omnipresence of Punkbuster in almost every game due to the following error: Corrupted File/(something here) [81354] As I've throughly read on the many posts here, it seems that the only solution would be to update PB manually through PBstetup from evenbalance.com, however I've already seem to gone past though such endeavour and I'm eagerly looking upon other alternatives. If you could help me with this issue it would be really appreciated. Thanks.
please tell us which server your having trouble with and if you can post a screenie of the error that woukd be a big help updating PB manually takes all but 2 minutes and Ive never had a problem doing it welcome to the forums Sniper

If your using a "fixed" exe... don't.. thats one of the main reasons for that error. it means that one of your cod4 files are corrupt/or the memory has been altered...

Maybe it has to do on the "fix" I used to make the game work. I'm assuming many of the people here go though the same method so If you had any exe MP or SP that sure won't make it go corrupted would be great. If not another way would ve appreciated.
You do not need to change any .exe to play on our servers.... just install, patch to 1.7 (for CoD4), then join. Do not make any alterations to any files after patching. If you changed any .exe, reinstall and leave them unmodified.

OK sorry for the confusion then. I didn't want to buy it because of the recent announcement of MW 2 coming out late autumn, usually I purchase my games and wanted to try this one seeing how much of a fan base has gotten since it got out in 2007.
you dont have to be legit..... just follow my suggestion and backup your profile ....re-install and patch up to 1.7 all you need to do is try a few keys until you hit a valid one the whole process should take less than an hour including d/l and installing all the patches

All right, all right I get the point heh no use to scrub it all over my face. Done with assumptions. Back to the main subject, I re-installed the whole thing and didn't apply any sort of fix to it, however I tried to salvage my profile by backing it up. I copied the player folder and paste it again in the COD4 directory, the problem now is that following the restart of my computer when I click on my profile in multiplayer an error appears about 'stats error' and suddenly my whole profile is blanked, my weapons, rank, achievements. Any idea on what may be causing this?
