After playing CoD2 for sometime now, I've been less and less impressed with the game. It's not that it's that bad, but it seems to me that CoD: UO was a superior game. Aside from Shotguns and the ability to climb over walls, I honestly can't see how CoD2 surpasses the first game's expansion. The custom maps were funner. We had vehicles. Sprinting and cooking off grenades were built-in to the game - not the result of mods. Though I think CoD2 looks better, the gameplay just isn't as smooth. All I'm saying is that CoD2 stripped alot of things away and gave us better graphics and shotguns. I know it's possible to throw in a shotgun mod into CoD:UO. If that were the case, how many people would play CoD:UO over CoD2? I might just be nostalgic here. But, I did start a thread in the "questions" section of UAN's forums. If you feel strongly either way, please chime in.
Update: The COD:UO server is up @ 72.232.220.12:28960 It is running stock for now and with a limited rotation, just to make sure things are operating properly. Enjoy.
I'm jumping on with a couple of us today around 3:00-3:30ish PM EST. I think it might only be about 3 or 4 of us and we'll probably play for a couple hours or so. On CoD:UO, I'm "Sgt. Rock." Hope to see some of you there and sorry about the late notice.
