Maybe i m off subject but i have a little question about cod2...
My computer crashed and i have to re-install windows. I m running vista and whan i play COD2 my game crashes often. (never or rarely happened with XP before)
Are you guys running cod2 under vista or XP. Those running under vista do you have the same problem?
    Should i dual boot?
Anyways what do you suggest ????

    Thx Rod

I'm running vista x64. I don't have an issue with mine.

right click on your icon and go to properties...
    under the compatibility tab..
Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
    then hit OK.

This may be assumed, but have you updated your PB after installing Vista?

Also, check your event viewer under Computer Management and see if you have any errors under applications. You may find that "CoD2MP_s.exe" hung for some reason. Post the error if you find one or google it and see if there are any hits.

I found that I can run COD4 under W7 just fine, but due to PB failure I cannot run COD2. I have XP dual booted so I have to reboot the system into XP for COD2 goodness.

I hope you figure it out.

Well i m asking all those questions cause i m not sure if i m gonna dual boot or not. Also if i dual boot i want to make a ghost image in case my comp crashes. Is it possible to ghost both OS (vista and XP) on that same ghost? And if so what program do you recommand to create ghost.

    Thx again

    Rod

BTW yes PB was updated....that corrected being kicked for loosing key packets all the time but not the game crashing.

    Thx Butzie....
    Did you buy Acronis?
Cause i read on forums that the non legit Acronis has some issues with uninstalling and trial dates.
