    Need some help here please.

I thought I was lucky as I found Server stats , so easy was able to do everything local and then upload. And then I saw it was not actually pulling in all data, as it more geared towards COD-UO. So then I managed to find Combat Stats 2 , and then I ended up with a blank look as it starting talking about downloading PHP and such. Can anyone possible help me setup a accurate server stats pack. The host I am with gave me access to some web space , but I don’t seem to have all this PHP stuff that’s is needed on server side. If anyone can possible help me figure out how to do this locally , or if anyone can help me set this up on a server of some sort I would be very greatful.

    Thanks

Out of curiosity, what is your final goal?

PS, what is your website and sever IP, if you have one?

    Urkas,
It would be quite difficult, I Think, to set up a php script
twice, and mirror the "Online Version" off the local.
And I'm even getting into mirroring a mysql db.
The easiest thing for you to do, is to set up a webserver on
    your local pc, i recommend easyphp ( http://easyphp.org )
it'll set you up with apache, php, and mysql and you can host it
from home with a no-ip ( http://no-ip.com )address tthat'll re-direct to your home ip, so you can have a static address for your dynamic ip.

Then choose your favourite stats app, I still recommend VSP, for simplicity, ( http://www.5th-gradient.org ).
Doing it this way is how I got started, and since it's your own server
you can pretty much do whatever you want.
Once you get comfortable with that, copy your files to your "Online" webspace,
    don't forget your db's,
And you should be good to go.

Hope this gives you a good jumping off point.
If that's not your bag, Elmo will probably rent you some
serverspace and a db for a good price.

Heh yeah I saw that , going to need to think about that. I need to find out from the server I am hosting from if perhaps they can/have what is needed to do this aswell. I am getting that glzed over look in my eyes as I look at the read me for this stuff.

What really sucks is I was messing around with ServerStats 1.0 , and its great except it was made for COD-UO : /

That does look interesting , I am currently trying to get a guy from work to set up the VSP stuff for me. If I could find a "easy" way to do that type of stuff lo9cally thats what I would like. But I will see what he comes back with.

Thanks for the heads up though.

VSP setup and use is incredibly easy. Just install the script whereever you are going to let people look at the stats. Php and mysql needed.

Stats do NOT have to be on same server as the game server. It's all done for you from a command page.

I don't see how 'doing it "locally"' would be easier.

Kr0me, at first I was confused by your Zoneedit comment, but then I realized you weren't talking about VSP, you were talking about registering your local machine with a domain name/IP forward setup.

Urkas has his website provided by the company that is hosting his game server. It's a subdomain, but still good. According to his host, he is provided with mySQL/php.

If you have a guy doing it urkas, you should be all set to start generating stats as soon as he's done. If he knows what he's doing, shouldn't take more than a half hour (genrous time)

I ended up getting a updated version of Server-Stats , and it has saved me a lot of time. Its just a matter of downloading Logfiles and then running the Serer Stats program and re-upload the files.

I need to fix some of the Pic links , but it has worked well for me.
